And now, on 17 February 2024, she received an official admit card for the Uttar Pradesh Police Constable Recruitment Examination, issued by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board.

A Prank, but a Revealing One

Someone in Mahoba district, Uttar Pradesh, had carefully registered a fake application using a fictitious Aadhaar number and an unverified mobile contact. They uploaded two photographs of the actor. The UPPRPB's recruitment portal, which required photo uploads but had no biometric face-detection or document-verification step at the application stage, processed the form and dispatched the admit card.

The internet greeted the news with a combination of amusement and weary familiarity. This was, after all, not surprising. It was a pattern.

The Kannauj Difference

Previous Sunny Leone credential incidents had exposed Bihar portal failures. This one exposed a UP Police portal failure — proving that the fundamental validation gap was not a Bihar-specific quirk, but a pan-Indian recruitment infrastructure problem.

UPPRPB's Response

The Board quickly clarified that the admit card was fraudulent and that the applicant had never verified their biometric identity. Kannauj Police Cyber Cell traced the application to a cyber cafe in Mahoba district and launched a criminal inquiry.

The portal was subsequently updated with stricter photo format checks. Sunny Leone did not appear at the examination centre. She has, to date, not commented on her UP Police constable eligibility.
